Event Details

Sha’ni and Tiger’s Eye Collective are pleased to host a two-day bellydance event in Atlanta. A Midsummer Night’s Dream featuring Ava Fleming will bring fans and students of the world-renowned artist together for a premier, two-day workshop and gala held June 21-22, 2008. The workshop will take place at the Knight’s of Columbus Hall; 2620 Buford Highway; Atlanta, GA 30324. The closing gala, featuring performances by Ava Fleming and artists from across the Southeast will be held at Sketchworks Theater, 3041 North Decatur Road; Scottdale, Georgia 30079. Ave Fleming brings a truly unique and modern approach to the world of bellydance with her extensive knowledge and experience in international dance styles. Based in Arizona, her focus on isolations and music interpretation has captivated audiences here in the U.S. and abroad. As the director, choreographer and creator of the Black Opal Dance Company, audiences across the country have had the opportunity to see her unique and creative dance style. Ava was the winner of the 2004 Belly Dancer of the Universe title in the Egyptian category, and her instructional and performance DVDs have inspired and challenged many who have taken on the task of studying her elegant example of the modern belly dance.

Sha'ni and Tiger's Eye Collective



Sha’ni is founder and director of Tiger’ s Eye Collective., and the event producer for A Midsummer Night’s. . . Located in the Atlanta area, she possesses an extensive background as a performer, instructor, and choreographer of Middle Eastern dance. Sha’ni has performed in venues throughout the U.S. including Georgia, Maryland, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Alabama . In addition to her work event production, she also performs at numerous private parties, and she has been a guest artist for many special events and charity functions. In 2005, she presented her premiere Tiger’s Eye Collective to raise funds for victims of Hurricane Katrina. Since then she has produced four additional shows under the TEC name, including the Tiger’s Eye Collective Project. Sha’ni teaches in Chamblee, Decatur, Riverdale, and at Emory University’s Center for Lifelong Learning.
